Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2-3 lb. pork butt
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 c. chicken stock
  • 1/2 tbsp. Kosher salt
  • 1-1/2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 8 King King’s Hawaiian® Original Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls
  • 8 slices Lorraine® cheese
  • 1/2 c. shredded red cabbage
  • Spicy mayo (optional)
Directions

To create pork rub, combine cumin, chili powder, brown sugar, paprika and salt; massage mixture into pork butt. Place onions and garlic into slow cooker; pour in chicken stock. Set seasoned pork in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 4 to 6 hours or on low for 6 to 8 hours. When the pork shreds easily, it is finished. Strain liquids and add barbecue sauce.

To assemble sandwiches, spoon pulled pork onto King’s Hawaiian® Original Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls. Top with Lorraine® cheese and red cabbage. For an extra kick, add a squirt of spicy mayo.
